| We do not know what Trump will announce on tomorrow, but we know it will have nothing to do with DC's safety.
If Trump cared about DC's safety, he would stop the mass firings of tens of thousands of federal workers in our region. If Trump cared about DC's safety, he would stop the kidnappings of our friends and neighbors. If Trump cared about DC's safety, he would stop cutting Medicaid, and SNAP, and education.
Trump doesn't care about safety in DC. He cares about getting control of the capitol city. That's a strategy authoritarians throughout history have used to silence dissent and accelerate their agenda.
