Re: cheat_training_group Re: Munnell Predictions?

And I won't claim to be a Patrick...though I'm very jealous of his hair. :-)

Patrick is pretty much on target, IMHO. I do think it may be slightly
higher at race time, just a bit above 3.5 --- but no qualitative
difference. It does appear that there might be local rain on Friday
morning, so I'll place that as my hedge if it's higher. But I don't
believe that will be of consequence for the race.

Short version...the racers should be happy, because the various doldrums
will not be so doleful. Those with trepidations should be happy, as
lines will be a bit more padded and important sneaks will be readily
available. The race organizers should be happy, because it should help
to get folks to the finish a little faster. Good news all around!

And for those of you who have heard the stories of Kenny getting worked
in Nasty at 3.5...please understand that Kenny was TRYING to get worked
--- and it spit him out anyway. (He was exuberant about the whole
experience for the next 3 miles ;-) Hit the hole straight and hard, if
you can't miss it...remember to just ferry to river left, if you get
spun out...stay calm and roll up when the water settles a bit, if you
flip. No worries!

I think folks are going to be talking about how great the level was when
we get to the bottom --- 2.0 will seem very boring! :-)

Looking forward to Friday!
JOHN
