Re: cheat_training_group Cold Weather Gear

I'm part of the kokatat fan club. As anyone who paddles with me will testify, I have subjected at least the top half and sometimes the bottom half to extensive testing on a number of rivers and have always stayed dry!

I will have to agree with Sandrine and Hank.  Hank first though.  Don't flip as much and you will be fine.

Kokatat is the way to go.  I am also a big fan of my Sweets dry top.  I have had one for 3 seasons now and it is the first truely dry dry-top I have ever had.

Hey All,

Cold weather is approaching. As some of you may know I haven't had the best of luck with cold weather gear. My 4 season drytop as well as my plaid drysuit have failed miserably and it appears that repairing them is not going to happen.

So now I am forced to get new stuff and I could use your help with recommendations. NRS, Kokotat and Level 6 all have a wide variety of gear with equally wide price ranges. Ultimately, is there an alternative to a $1000 GMER  drysuit?
