Re: cheat_training_group Cold Weather Gear

Ill throw my limited drywear experience in:

Ive owned a Level 6 Duke drytop for a couple years and its falling apart. Seams at the wrists are going on both hands. It also leaks a decent amount, but not sure where its coming from. Ive heard they are decent about fixing stuff, but havent tried yet.

Bought an NRS drysuit before the Cheat race training, and havent had any problems so far. Limited use though. Their prices went up about 20% in 2012 too, making them less bang for the buck.

I will have to agree with Sandrine and Hank.  Hank first though.  Don't flip as much and you will be fine.

Kokatat is the way to go.  I am also a big fan of my Sweets dry top.  I have had one for 3 seasons now and it is the first truely dry dry-top I have ever had.

Hey All,

Cold weather is approaching. As some of you may know I haven't had the best of luck with cold weather gear. My 4 season drytop as well as my plaid drysuit have failed miserably and it appears that repairing them is not going to happen.

So now I am forced to get new stuff and I could use your help with recommendations. NRS, Kokotat and Level 6 all have a wide variety of gear with equally wide price ranges. Ultimately, is there an alternative to a $1000 GMER  drysuit?
