[WardFive] Re: [ward5] Fwd: Today's Inspirational message

Good Morning Debbie,

Awesome Message.  Love that "#13" !!!!

So, as you read, understand that this LOVE relates to the body and he body being one that has many parts - members - US - Like US AS A COMMUNITY.  This Love in particular has to do with Charity.  Charity in itself means Loving; not just in giving things to those in "need" but in understanding a deeper level of Charity - a brotherly love, a foreberance in judging others, etc.

So, one should go back into 1st. Corinthians, Ch. 12, vs. 25 - "there should be no Schism in the body; but that the members should have the same care for one another.  To save you the time, the word "Schism" means - a separation or division into factions, - Jealousy mistrust, and party strife must be replaced said Paul - in 1st Cor. 1:10, 11:18 - by mutual Respect and Unity of Mind and HEART.

These verses directly speaks to the entirety of what we are going through as a community, ie. BCafe, FORIA/PCDC and so much more occurring right here in the Greater "Brookland"/Ward 5 neighborhood. And as you read further back in 1st Cor. ch. 12, you will see the initial part of this love that is part of gifts given to each of us; wisdom, knowledge, healing, interpetation, etc. Hear me when I speak --- For the Body is one!

 - THE QUESTION IS- WHAT IS TRULY IN YOUR HEART? - so when folks look at making selfish Choices and Decisions (like choosing to not be part but to re-create and not stepping forward but only when it benefits self/friend, it disenfranchises the Best of "intentions".  So, you can talk me to death about all that "trash" pick up from the street but yet so much "trash" lives deep within the head/mind, it matters not - it's kind of like spraying perfume on a stinky body.

"Oh, if only the Mind can open so the Eye can see and the Mouth can then speak (through actions, emails, stances, flyers, votes, etc.) so Lovingly" - Rob Ramson 9/12/12    So the day you all figure out where the Schisms are and who are "Schisming", then you will understand what this LOVE is - the type of Love that I have been trying to teach.

Characteristics of Love
TODAY'S SCRIPTURE
"Now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love."
(1 Corinthians 13:13, NIV)
TODAY'S WORD from Joel and Victoria

Spiritual maturity isn't measured by how long you've been a Christian, how much you know, or how often you go to church. Spiritual maturity is measured by the way you treat other people. It's measured by the love you allow to operate through you. First Corinthians 13 tells us about the characteristics of love. One characteristic is that it is not rude. That means, when we are walking in love, we treat other people with courtesy and respect. Are you courteous to other people? Are you kind to the person at the checkout counter that may be moving too slowly for you? Are you gentle when you are driving down the highway and someone cuts you off? Are you patient with your family and coworkers? These are all ways we show love.

Scripture also tells us that love is patient. It is kind. It does not envy; it is not proud. It is not rude. Love is not easily angered, and it keeps no record of wrongs. Love never fails. Notice that these characteristics don't have anything to do with feelings. That's because love is a choice. You can choose to walk in love toward people even when you don't feel like it. Today, make the choice to do what is right. Choose today to show kindness and be courteous to others. Look for ways to cultivate the greatest thing in your life — love! As you do, you'll move forward into the life of blessing God has in store for you!

A PRAYER FOR TODAY
Heavenly Father, thank You for loving me so that I can show love to others. Teach me to be patient and kind and treat others the way You always treat me in Jesus' name. Amen.
