ADVISORY: Norton to Focus on Safety Tonight on National Mall

 

WASHINGTON, D.C. – With nightfall coming earlier now that daylight saving time has ended, Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-DC) will ensure public safety by walking the National Mall tonight, November 5, 2012, beginning at 6:00 p.m. at 7^th Street NW and Madison Drive NW.  The Congresswoman has walked the Mall periodically to examine lighting, police presence, and other safety measures since six muggings occurred there in a matter of weeks in 2006.
