Jen,

Kokotat makes incredible gear. I have had my suit for 5 or 6 years and it is still dry. I am not sure about the new zipper system on the Idol. It seems great and I have seen them in person. They look durable but I do not know and have not heard of anyone using the new style zipper suit. My guess is that it is a good buy.

That sounds good...I like the idea of being at the Cheat on the weekends cause I can also visit Mom. Let me make sure that I can do some/most of the Wednesdays. It should work out - would Thursday be the other option for the attainments?

looks like Mike and I are going to try for Cheat training (instead of the Lite group) this year, because I will have puppy training classes on Sundays. So, that means attainments on Wed evenings (you can skip or join another night) and then Saturday long river days. First month of Saturdays (March) we do long Potomac paddles, and then Saturdays in April we run the Cheat. So, try to make that work with your schedule :)
