Elected Officials and Community Leaders join forces to protest against Donald Trump in front of future site of Donald Trump Hotel in DC (Old Post Office building)

 

On June 16, 2015, at a Press Conference, Republican Candidate Donald Trump announced his candidacy to run for the Presidency of the United States.  While using this platform to reach the American public, Mr. Trump made remarks dehumanizing and criminalizing immigrants from Mexico and Latin America.   During the press conference, Mr. Trump said:  “When Mexico brings its people, they’re not sending their best. They’re sending people that have lots of problems, they’re bringing drugs, they’re bringing crime. They’re rapists. And some, I assume, are good people.  It’s coming from all of South and Latin America.”

 

In response to Mr. Trump’s disparaging and dangerous comments to our community, concerned elected officials, community leaders, and others, will protest in front of the location of Mr. Trump’s celebrated DC luxury hotel project, at the Old U.S. Post Office building.
