I hope you are all rested from a short holiday vacation. But before we get into another celebration (and yes we continue to celebrate, and congratulate, Virginians on their November 7th election), I must pause and comment on the empowerment of women, by coming forward and denouncing their sexual predators everywhere. Only a few days ago, on November 25th, we celebrated the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women. It is sad that as we get all these courageous women to confront their perpetrators, President Trump, who has no moral standing, after being accused by at least 16 women of sexual harassment, is now supporting child molester Roy Moore for a seat in the US Senate. There is no room for Mr. Moore in the US Congress, or in any elected office. He should withdraw his candidacy for the US Senate, and seek forgiveness and professional help.
On another note, when you have time, please take a moment and enjoy the November edition of the DCiReporter and the DC Statehood Today shows. Both are fun and entertaining, produced in-house. On the DCiReporter there is a good segment on DACA, and we revisit the historical Women’s March on Washington. On the DC Statehood Today show, you’ll see the latest on our effort to get full democracy for all citizens of Washington DC, including an interview with former DC Mayor Vincent Gray. Both Shows can be watched on DCTV or on-line on YouTube.
Below are some events in the community. I hope you take time to celebrate the holidays with loved ones. Like always, I hope to run into some of you at some of these events.
Thank you.
