Dear All:

I want to let you know and ask that you urgently share with your networks that the D.C Poor People's Campaign Mass Meeting scheduled for Monday, Feb. 5th at 7pm at All Souls Unitarian Church has been postponed. We will update you as soon as possible when it is rescheduled.

However, we do urge you to join us in a National Press Conference of Unity on

Monday, February 5th, 2018

at the Methodist Building at 9:30am

100 Maryland Ave NE

Washington, DC  20002

Over 39 states from around the country, including, Washington DC will announce their participation in 40 days of moral action to launch the Poor People's Campaign: A National Call for Moral Revival this Spring.

On February 5th, we will stand united with folks across the country at state capitols and in Washington, DC highlighting the human impact of policies which promote systemic racism, poverty, the war economy and environmental devastation.

Fifty years ago, the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King called for a Poor People's Campaign to begin a "revolution of values" in America. We are reigniting these efforts to unite the poor, disenfranchised, and marginalized to transform our nation's political, economic and moral structures of our society. We are asking for clergy to wear vestments appropriate for public witness.

Please Join us February 5th at 9:30 am at The Methodist Building.

Please share this information with your networks! We hope to see you there.

Rev. Graylan Scott Hagler,

Poor People's Campaign,

Senior Minister, Plymouth Congregational UCC and

Director, Faith Strategies
