Hey All,
Pack your galoshes and rain gear, 'cause the annual Cheat river epic mud festival is about to begin!
CAMPING:
We will snag a camping spot at the Cheat Canyon Campgrounds
We usually try to set up along the fence facing the bathrooms, which is in the back of the main entrance building. We will arrive early afternoon, and set up two large rain canopies, and hang a Canadian flag so we will be easy to spot.
We pick that spot because it is farthest from the festival site (about a 10 min walk), so quiet and less rowdy, conducive to getting a good nights rest, kid-friendly, etc.
We cannot save spots, but all are welcome to join our camping area.
RACE:
I plan to "race" at my fastest pace, which everyone knows is somewhere near the back of the pack. Anyone that would like to join me is welcome. We won't win, but we will get a t-shirt and have fun :)
SATURDAY FLOAT:
We also plan to do a lazy river float on Saturday late morning (set shuttle around 9 AM, put on the river about 11 AM), so feel free to join. We will put-in right from our campsite. Of course, all this is level dependent, as always, so confirm in the morning.
