As a point of order, any William Nealy product - book, map, poster, etc - should be discussed with the inclusion of the author/artists name. He is a legend! It's not just a kayaking book - it's a 

William Nealy kayaking book.

It made me realize that I've never read a book about advanced whitewater kayak techniques -- from rope rescues to what to know about paddling flooding rivers. Can any of you recommend books that cover similar ground? 

Thanks for the ideas! And if you haven't picked up Kayak: The New Frontier (2007, second edition) yet I encourage you to do so. They have it in stock at the ACE Adventure Gear in Fayetteville.
