This is an important message from the District of Columbia AlertDC system.

 

(Washington, DC) The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will conduct bridge preservation and repair activities at New York Ave. (Route 50) over Amtrak Railroad in The District of Columbia Bridge Network. This work will be started on Tuesday, February 23, 2021, Weather permitting. Work will take place after the morning rush hour 9:30 am and lane closure will be removed before the evening rush hour at 3:30 pm one travel lane will be open traffic at all times.

Traffic controls will be in place to warn drivers approaching the areas. Motorists should anticipate moderate-to-heavy delays due to the lane closures.

Drivers are advised to stay alert while traveling through these locations and to be observant of the inspection and construction personnel.
