[WardFive] W5COE's Candidate Forum on Education Issues

Sent on behalf of Nakisha Winston:

Dear Supporters of Education in Ward 5:

The Ward 5 Council on Education cordially invites you to come out to our candidate forum on education issues on Friday, April 27th, 2012, from 7-8:30pm, in Ross Auditorium at Providence Hospital (1150 Varnum St. NE, Washington, DC 20017).

Hosts from the Education Town Hall Show, Thomas Byrd and Jeff Smith, will be our moderators.  They will guide questions relating to candidates’ background, experience, and their philosophies regarding how they plan to enhance the current education system.

Several of the parent teacher organizations in our Ward 5 schools are partnering in this non-partisan forum.  We believe this forum will facilitate a dialogue between candidates and voters about concerns and solutions to improve the quality of education for children and families in Ward 5.  Please pass along the attached flyer to families that may not have access to thislistserve.

Have an education question for the candidates?  Please submit your questions by Wednesday, April 25th, to nakisha_winston@yahoo.com for priority consideration.

We look forward to seeing you.

Sincerely,

Nakisha Winston
Chair of the Candidate Forum
Ward 5 Council on Education
