The NAACP is hosting a free 12 Month Health Program beginning in August 2016.  We would like to invite your organizations to be a partner.  No funding is required to partner, we only ask that you promote this program to your members via your newsletter, list serves, website, etc. We will send you a template press release and flyer to send to your members.  Attached is the DRAFT press release with our partners confirmed to date.

NAACP'S FREE 12 MONTH HEALTH PROGRAM 

 

Register today for the NAACP DC Branch 12 Month Health Program titled, "Health Is the New Wealth," which features free fitness classes and activities, including Juicing, Farm Tours, Gardening, Cooking, Meditation, Yoga and more.  Registration is free and open to all residents in District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia.

 

The purpose of this 12-month Health Program is to empower African-American women to adopt healthy lifestyles through gardening, cooking, healthy eating and physical activity.  This program is free and open to all residents in District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia.  This program is sponsored by the Maryland-Delaware-D.C. Beverage Association and the American Beverage Foundation for a Healthy America.  

This program is hosted in partnership with the NAACP DC Branch, NAACP Prince Georges County Branch, NAACP Alexandria Branch, NAACP Maryland State Conference, NAACP Virginia State Conference, National Congress of Black Women, Inc., National Pan Hellenic Council, DC Chapter and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Xi Zeta Omega Chapter, Washington, DC.
