[WardFive] MPD Announces 1st Annual “Missing in Washington D.C.”

(Washington, DC) – The Metropolitan Police Department's Youth and Family Services Division would like to extend an invitation to family, friends, and community members to attend the 1st annual "Missing in Washington D.C." event, which will take place on Saturday, June 9, 2018. This event is dedicated to helping families find individuals who've been reported missing in the District of Columbia..

MPD has partnered with several local and national agencies to help connect families of missing persons with specialists in the field. Those attending Missing in Washington D.C. can get connected with expert resources and receive one-on-one meetings with law enforcement and forensic professionals. Attendees will also have the opportunity to receive free professional counseling and updates on missing family members. Missing in Washington D.C is a free event and will be open to the public.

If you plan on attending this event, please bring the following:

Photographs of the missing person
Dental/medical records
Any prior police records or leads
