cheat_training_group Swift Water Rescue Class

Hey all,

Thank you all so much for being apart of the Calleva Liquid Adventure's team. At Calleva our program is designed to take you from the first time in the boat to the point where you are self-sufficient on the water. I think a huge part of that is a swift water rescue class. The purpose of this 2 day class is to teach you how to take care of yourself and others on the river. I once heard this great quote: "Kayaking is an individual sport in a team atmosphere" and I think that to be apart of that "team" is being able to help each other in a rescue situation. I have seen more accidents in class 3 than I have in class 5, so don't think it only happens to those guys at Great Falls.

In this class we will focus on the whole curriculum as written by the American Canoe Association (check it out here), but we will be spending 75% of our time on practicing the skills that you will use 90% of the time. Most of my swift water rescue courses are taught as we paddle the river, we will spend the least amount of time talking at you and the greatest amount of time talking with you and practicing.

I encourage you to take this course. Our staff take it every year to brush up on skills and after all that time they still walk away learning something new every time. check out more online here. https://calleva.org/liquid-adventures-kayak/professional-development/aca-swiftwater-instructor/

For your viewing pleasure here is a video of me getting really beatdown in Canada:

Hope to see y'all out there September 8 and 9.

PADDLE EVERYWHERE!
