What an amazing summer! Over 300 kids on the river for kayaking camp, Canad

What an amazing summer! We had over 300 kids on the river this summer in Kayaking Camps. Intermediate and advanced kayakers CRUSHED it on trips to Canada and the Upper Yough. And we are so excited to welcome NEW PADDLERS to the LAKS and Potomac River community! We will continue paddling in to the Fall and Winter Seasons with Pool Rolling, Winter Slalom, and featuring week-long trips to paddle and explore warmer climates. Check out our other offerings below! Mexico Trips Winter 2018-19 Our Mexico trip schedule has been posted! Join us on the best rivers south of the border. These trips are dialed in with great food, gorgeous lodging, and a twist of adventure.  Cascadas de Valles (lll-lV)– Nov 10 - 17, 2018 Explore the beautiful waterfalls of the Valles area.  Cacadas de Valles (lll)– Nov 17 – 24, 2018 This week is perfect for those looking to run their first waterfalls! Deep Canyons of Veracruz (lll+)– Dec 26, 2018 – Jan 2, 2019 and Jan 20 – 27, 2019 This is our core trip that takes you from the top of waterfalls to the bottom of deep canyons-- what Mexico is all about! Alseseca at Aventurec (lV)– Jan 6 – 13, 2019 The Alseseca race week. Advanced Tlapacoyan (lV+)– Jan 13 – 20, 2019 Alseseca, Jahlicingo- the stouts! Agua Blanca Actopan (ll-lll)– Jan 27 – Feb 3, 2019 Join us for our favorite week of kayaking in Mexico, filled with fun whitewater, sunny beaches, and delicious tacos. If you can roll you can come! Mexico Info! After School Kayaking Join us for After School Kayaking starting Sept 10th! Beginner sessions on Mondays and Intermediates on Wednesdays! Meet at Whitman, Westland, Pyle or right at the river.  New this year, Elementary After School meets Mondays! Pick up at Seven Locks, Carderock, or Woodacres or meet at the river. After School Kayaking Advanced Kayakers train twice a week plus two weekend trips with the Commando Unit!  Commando Unit Paddle New Zealand! The Kaituna, one of New Zealand's finest pieces of whitewater, is renowned worldwide for its amazing beauty, quality rapids, as well as the great community vibe in the small town of Okere Falls. It has a 1.2 mile stretch of waterfalls & rapids, which will will be our base river in NZ. Below the commercial stretch, the river tightens up in to narrow gorges with plenty more excitement, before opens up and flushes out in to the ocean.
