As we get ready to say good-bye to summer, I hope some of you are able to take advantage of the many events coming up in the month of September. Our thoughts and prayers are with all that are affected by Hurricane Dorian. I also want to ensure we don't forget our continued fight for common sense gun control laws. Don't lose hope that we will find a way to ensure that these gun killings no longer occur in our communities.

The DC Statehood Fall Rally

We are closer than ever before to achieving D.C. Statehood. Between now and September 14th we are going full force with spreading the message of D.C. Statehood by having a "D.C. Statehood Fall Rally" with public speakers, live musicians, and a march from Freedom Plaza in collaboration with Johnny Barnes of "Living With The Law". The rally will be from 2pm to 9pm but the main program will be from 5pm to 7pm.
