"Know Your Rights" Special Education Panel Discussion
hosted by the Office of the Student Advocate & the Ward Five Council on Education
We invite you to join us for a "Know Your Rights" panel discussion on special education. The goal of this panel is to equip parents with the knowledge they need to make informed decisions about their child's educational needs. A panel of experts and parents will discuss the special education process in the District of Columbia, with a focus on the 504 plan & IEP processes. This panel will highlight the differences between IEP process & 504 plans and how to overcome issues that may arise during the process.
With this discussion, we hope to empower parents to become effective advocates for their child's educational rights.
