REGISTER FOR THE NAACP 2016 HEALTH PROGRAM
The NAACP DC Branch is implementing a 12-month Health Program to empower African-American women to adopt healthy lifestyles through gardening, cooking, healthy eating and physical activity. This Health Program will include monthly nutrition activities and fitness programs from June 2016 through June 2017. Registration is FREE and OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. Chronic diseases and diet-related illnesses disproportionately impact low-income African-American residents in the District of Columbia. This Health Program will educate, empower and motivate participants to eat well-balanced nutritious meals and exercise regularly to meet individual health and fitness goals. We have partnered with personal trainers, nutritionists, health coaches, and various health care professionals to offer exercise sessions and health coaching to promote health and wellness. This 2016 Health Program is sponsored by the American Beverage Association!
