-- I am looking for a little help with my website www.dckayak.com. When I moved to the DC area I was quite annoyed at how many different states I had to look through on AW to find a local river that was fun to run. I started compiling a list of rivers in the area. I was told that I should put this list on the web for everyone to use. I did. I am still fairly new to the area (less that 3 years) and do not know all of the rivers/creeks. When the LAKS creeking group was looking for something to run on Sunday I was informed that I was missing a few creeks. Please let me know if you have any suggestions on rivers/creeks that I should have listed.
I know that some of you are using the website. For those of you that are not here is what the site offers:
A list of creeks/rivers within 4 hours of DC with information such as instantaneous flow, boatable flows, whether the river is going up or down and how fast, river difficulty/rating, distance from DC, links to AW, USGS gauges, and local weather. Most of the categories can be sorted too. This is all on one easy to use page.
There is also a page that list the playspots on the Potomac. Let me know if you have any playspots or suggestions
