Just so you aren't the barometer that I measure myself --- to include your friends and flunkies -- I am going to add a little perspective on what I do throughout the day and what effect I have on people and things --
But let me help you out a little and name a few things:
1. they are putting in a 6 million gallon drop tank at McMillan to offset the flooding in our Bloomingdale Community because of my suggestion - never once was this a part of any discussion until I told them what to do. Someone should be sending me a check for the amount of aggravation that I will be saving our community and our govt. Or a simple Thank You Rob would be fine -- I got one from a lady in Bloomingdale who has never wrote on the listserv but emailed me privately.
2. Kenyan is now focusing on the "affordable housing" issue because of my forever mentions to change the definition of affordable housing.
3. They are no longer land grabbing Turkey Thicket because of me Identifying the DCPS land acquisition approach -- the transfer from Parks and Rec to DCPS which allowed DCPS to sell or Charter this large property at a later date.
4. I fought against the Crummel School issue -- and if you look over there at the Fence around the Property, it is definitely an Insult to the residents living directly across the street.
5. 15 pages of my testimony detailed the policy in the Comprehensive Plan and the Small Area Plan that was used to deal with the abusive approach of 901 Monroe against the community -- not newly arrived mostly transient minded folks and folks who work in the area who are definitely mostly transient -- but voted in the BNCA process -- and still didn't change the ratio of vote for -- 51:49
6. I was the first to take a risk in placing Businesses in our community when the area was not conducive to the business -- risking my own money.
7. I attempted to help solve some of the issues by asking Mendelson to create a position for me or someone like me who can't be bought to oversee the current "guardians" in our education system- with a extreme high working model, my daughter -- which you ignorantly tried to clown because the type of person you are is to assume that everyone is like you -- chasing money. Both of your allegations, me forced to move from NW and trying to get Paid from Mendelson (which I asked for the lowest salary allowed) were ignorantly wrong.
8. Yesterday, my most recent mentee who I help raise over the last 3 years, an At Risk Black Male from the hood, attended Va State to finalize his attendance in the fall. Maybe you should know that for 2 years, I fed him, clothed him, kept him on track with school and also gave him a job after he was finished with his SAT's. Least to say, I gave him Character to not steal, sell drugs, etc. and to conscientious Black Man -- one who would continue to replace the "grab" attitude and embrace the "give" approach!!!!
9. I have another Black Male who is being released from jail next month after finishing his 30 month Sentence. I have mentored him in and out of Jail. Just for clarity, he was incarcerated for something he was involved with befor he came to work at the Cafe 3 years ago. I have proof of his much improved writings as exemplified from his writings in jail. 27 still refers to me as Mr. Rob - from his youth when I lived in deep woodridge - up in the cut!! He will be home a better Man who I am proud to have around my family -- as he is family.
