When you go to the polls on tomorrow, April 1st, please vote for Acqunetta Anderson. She live in SP and is the ANC for A401.

 

• She has demonstrates leadership at the ANC meetings.
• She provides updates on community issues relevant to our neighbor

• DC Historic Preservation Review Board to Consider Former WRAMC Nomination

• Crosswalk at North Portal--need for snow removal

• She is a hard workers.

I am impressed with her performance on the ANC Board.

 

 

Some background:

Acqunetta  attended D.C. Public schools—she attended George Washington University and American University—she has a BS degree in Political Science.  She is married and has helped to raise several nieces and nephews.

 

She is a democratic political activist.  She is serving her first term as the Advisory Neighborhood Commissioner--representing neighbors in Colonial Village, North Portal Estates, and Shepherd Park (a portion of ANC4A01)—where she lives. 

 

She has worked for several members of the United States Congress and Senate.  She has worked on several national and local campaigns--including President Barack Obama, former Mayor Anthony Williams, former Vice President Al Gore, and Adrian Fenty for Mayor of DC. 

 

She has worked with local elected and national officials to improve education, affordable housing, economic development, crime, taxes, labor, jobs training, veteran's benefits, utilities, and infrastructure, transportation, women and seniors concerns.

 

She has testified and/or submitted proposed legislation to the D.C. Council, Congress, and the ANC Commission on housing, jobs and training, minimum wages, infrastructure, seniors, economic development, education, public safety and gun control issues.
