Good Afternoon Brookland Community,

Below is the link to the presentation that was shown at the Brookland community update meeting on March 18, 2014.

I have received a few emails inquiring about when the field will re-open to the public. Based on the existing schedule the field is scheduled to open in June 2014.

Thank you all for your support of this project and please continue to reach out to our team with any comments, questions or concerns.

Correction on meeting day -

The Brookland Community meeting is Tuesday, March 18, 2014 not Thursday, March 18.  The location, date and time has not changed.

Attached is a revised flyer with the correct date.  Please accept my apologies for any inconveniences.

Dear Brookland Community,

Please join the Department of General Services (DGS) and DC Public Schools (DCPS) representatives for a community meeting for an update on the construction and design of the new Brookland Middle School.

The building is currently under construction and on its way towards completion in December of 2014 to be ready for the beginning of the 2015-2016 school year.  While the construction process continues, the project team and SIT have developed the interior finishes and begun searching for artists to incorporate public art into the building.  Please join us to hear more about the project.

Attached is a flyer with information about the meeting and an update on the Brookland project that we, DGS, will be forwarding to the community monthly until the end of the project. The update will provide information on the construction activity and any scheduled community meetings or events related to the Brookland project.

Please share the flyer and project update with your neighbors, family and friends.

Sincerely,

Jackie
