The holidays are here, and I hope you take some time to celebrate the season of giving. This is an opportunity for us in the DC Statehood Congressional Delegation to thank the many activists, supporters, and volunteers that help us in the fight for democracy in the Nation's Capital. This was a good year for us in the DC Statehood movement, as we end the year with enough co-sponsors in our US House Bill (H.R. 51) to pass the Bill. This is thanks to the many dedicated individuals and organizations, here in DC, and across the nation.
I also want to ask you to please help the people in Haiti. I am sure you have seen the images of what looks like a battle field in Haiti. Since September, more than 40 people have died, and humanitarian aid is more difficult than ever to get to the many people displaced from the 2010 earthquake. Today is #GivingTuesday. There is a local organization called GSI Haiti, doing good work in Haiti. Please make any donation you can to help the people of Haiti.
