There are a bunch of kids who want to do a second run we think, plus people who have not replied to your inquiry. So we still think there should be a second run. But everyone who is doing the second run will need to have someone drive their car down, and someone who is in the fast group will have to drive shuttle and not do a second run.
There will be a small group to do the Narrows, but most will still do the Canyon if it is below about 5.2.
I will mention it in my next email about the race day.

My two cents,
Since only 4 people indicated they were interested in running the fast group, there doesn't seem to be any need to plan any shuttles or worry about a second run.
Enjoy the Narrows (river will likely be over 4').

Subject: cheat_training_group Cheat may be juicy this weekend
In past years there has been a contest to predict the level of the Cheat. Why care? Could save you a bootie beer or maybe a lost boat or major mis adventure. How do you do this? And can you apply the same principle predict power ball jack pot numbers?I start with the Keelhauler calculatorRight now Albright Bridge is 15.7 - which translates to about 5.5 which is a bit juicy for my palate. What will it be in the future? If the precip is fairly evenly distributed as it tends to be in the spring time. then you can estimate by looking upstream at Parson's flow which is about 7 which translates to 5' in 16 hours at the put in.How about the weekend? The NWS has a hydrologic prediction service to predict flooding and when they need to raise the flood gates in Georgetown. Some rain is forecast - not a lot but the Cheat should be stableRight now it looks as though the Cheat level will be about 5' which makes for a very interesting day on the river, lots of bootie beer is predicted and some might want to seek refuge upstream in the Cheat Narrows. How do you win the power ball? Stay tuned!-Peter--
