The Draft Student Assignment Policy Proposal was released on Thursday - now is your time to further inform this process by giving feedback. On tomorrow evening, Tuesday, June 17th, a community meeting regarding this draft proposal will be held at Dunbar High School (101 N St. NW) from 6-8pm. At this session you will be able to gain more in depth information regarding the draft proposal and provide your feedback. Public engagement and input into this process is imperative.
Can't make the June 17th meeting? In addition to the community meeting on June 17th you can email your concerns and questions to dme.studentassignment@dc.gov, call their office at 202-478-5738, or visit the DME's website at http://dme.dc.gov/page/advisory-committee-draft-proposal-and-boundaries-june-2014
Lastly, the Washington Post has also developed and shared a great interactive map tool that is a resource to understand the impact of this process. That tool can be found at http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-srv/special/local/proposed-school-zones/.
Let your voice be heard, join the conversation! We hope to see you at the community meeting tomorrow evening!
