DC Health Link Enrollment Continuation Cancelled Today, Tuesday, February 17
Pending Weather Conditions and DC Government Status Enrollment Continuation to Shift to Wednesday, February 18
(Washington, DC) – Health insurance enrollment continuation scheduled for today, February 17 has been cancelled due to weather conditions and government closure. Weather permitting and DC Government status pending, in-person assistance for those trying to complete their enrollment will be rescheduled for tomorrow. Consumers are encouraged to check DCHealthLink.com for more information. DC Health Link is committed to working with consumers to complete their enrollment for coverage effective March 1, 2015.
WHEN: Wednesday, February 18, 2015 (Pending weather conditions and Government status)
1:00 pm – 8:00 pm
WHERE: Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Library
901 G Street, NW
BACKGROUND: During the final days of the 2nd Open Enrollment Period, DC Health Link extended hours at enrollments sites and the Call Center to handle the anticipated last minute higher demand for in-person help, longer wait lines, heavier call volume and increased traffic on the website. Due to the inclement weather on the final day of enrollment, two enrollment locations were forced to close and consumers were redirected to other nearby locations and/or the Call Center.
Residents who experienced difficulties that prevented them from completing enrollment before the February 15 deadline, including those who started their application, but did not have a chance to finish, those who needed in-person help and could not get it, those who tried calling the Contact center and could not get through and those who ran into technical issues and could not finish the online application process are strongly encouraged to go to the enrollment continuation at MLK, Jr. Memorial Library.
Residents are urged to bring all of the items needed to complete enrollment. The enrollment checklist is available at DCHealthLink.com/checklist.
Residents should also send an email that includes their contact information and the nature of the difficulties experienced to info@dchealthlink.com. DC Health Link will follow up with these consumers and will work with them to complete their enrollment for coverage effective March 1, 2015.
