[WardFive] Events coming up... debate watch party tonight, honoring Sonia Gutierrez

I hope everyone is enjoying the end of summer.

Be sure to stop by Cambria Suites tonight as Network for Progress hosts 2nd Presidential debate watch party.  A large crowd of progressives is expected to fill the room, see details below.

We are looking for volunteers to join the DC Statehood Congressional Delegation at Fiesta DC's Parade this Saturday, September 19th at 1PM.  We'll gather at the beginning of parade route on 7th and Constitution Avenue NW starting at 12PM; we'll have plenty DC Flags!  Please email/call if you can participate.  Please also note Statehood forum below on September 17th at the Convention Center, where I will be on the panel.

As we celebrate Hispanic Heritage month, we'll be honoring Sonia Gutierrez at a community event on September 28th.  Event is free, but you have to register as we have limited space at venue.  I hope you can join Senators Strauss, Senator Brown, and myself as we present Ms. Gutierrez a DC Statehood Congressional Delegation Resolution that evening for her many contributions to our city.

Thank you.
