The Ward 5 Democrats & Ward 5 Councilmember Kenyan McDuffie invite and welcome ALL Ward 5 registered Democrats and unregistered or undecided eligible voters to participate in a "General Status Briefing, Informational Exchange, Round-up and Reception" with the Ward 5 Democrats and key DC State Democratic Party top elected official(s) – headed by Mayor Muriel Bowser (D).

Mayor Bowser will also be joined by The Honorable Anita Bonds, At-Large Councilmember & Chair of the DC Democratic State Committee;  The Honorable Kenyan McDuffie, Ward 5 Councilmember;  The Honorable Vincent Orange, At-Large Councilmember; The Honorable Franklin Garcia, US Representative; and other Ward 5 Democrats who are ANC Chairs & Commissioners, and Presidents, Chairpersons of Ward 5 Community Organizations.

 

We will discuss successes, challenges, and how we – as Democrats – can work together, with our Party leaders to fulfill the District's and national Democrat Party vision, goals and objectives consistent with the platforms of both the DC State Democratic and National Democratic Parties.

 

Specific issues will be discussed during the briefing Q and A portion, one-on-one during the Reception, and/or special meetings that may be arranged.
