[WardFive] The Story of the Black U.S. 25th lnfantry Bicycle Corp 1,900 mile journey

This story is about the physical fitness, endurance, commitment to task and courage of a group of black infantry soldiers who were chosen to make a 1,900 trek via bicycle to determine if the bicycle was suitable as a military transport.  They endured weather challenges, horrific roadways, poor food, poisonous water and the myriad of physical illnesses associated with such a journey.  Military history makes little mention of their heroic individual and collective sacrifices.  When anyone questions the loyalty of African Americans, you may want to share this story with them.
