[WardFive] Events coming up, Early Voting, GOTV Rally, Trump Protest...

I hope everyone is doing well.  I want to give you some information as we enter the last two weeks before the general elections.  First, let me remind you that early voting has started in the District of Columbia and will go on through November 4th, additional voting places will open on October 28th in your Ward.  For early voting locations in DC, please visit: https://www.dcboee.org/default.asp

·       Maryland early voting goes from October  27–November 3, visit http://www.elections.state.md.us/ for information on voting in Maryland.

·       For voting information in Virginia, please visit: https://www.virginia.gov/agencies/department-of-elections/.

In DC, remember to vote for Advisory Referendum B "Advisory Referendum on the State of New Columbia Admission Act Resolution of 2016." (It's on the back of the paper ballot).  The approved name is actually the State of Washington D.C. (D.C. stands for Douglass Commonwealth), but you are voting on DC Statehood, not a name!

I, and many others, will be going to Pennsylvania this weekend to support the Clinton/Kaine ticket, if you have time to go for a day trip, please let me know; day trips will take place both Saturday and Sunday, for Saturday email: dcfordemocracy@gmail.com.

Let me share videos of these two events:

·       Statehood Yes! Rally last Saturday, with Congresswoman Norton, Mayor Bowser, Senator Strauss, Senator Brown, and many other DC elected officials: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8TXFNCUsmTA

·       End of Hispanic Heritage Month/Clinton Rally at the Lincoln Memorial, with elected officials and activists from DC, Maryland and VA:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U5cTlOg_cHw

Thank you, and be sure to join me at events below, if your time allows,

Franklin.
