Got a kid bitten by the theatre bug?
If you do, then check out Traveling Players!
Why is Calleva giving some love to a theatre camp?  The founders of Calleva and Traveling Players are life-long friends, and recommend each other all the time to families trying to find the perfect fit for each of their kids in the summer.  Traveling Players was founded in cooperation with Calleva, shares its Thursday overnight schedule, and similarly challenges kids to do more than they thought they could.
Traveling Players is an award-winning acting camp dedicated to bringing great theatre to the great outdoors.  Campers rehearse plays on the Madeira School campus, and then take the show on the road by touring them all over Virginia, Maryland and DC.  All the world's a stage at Traveling Players Ensemble!
Older campers perform "Shakespeare in the Park" in Shenandoah National Park while backpacking off the Appalachian Trail and "showering" in waterfalls.  Younger campers learn the basics of stagecraft and camping, while wiping s'mores off of their scripts.
Traveling Players Ensemble sessions cater to beginners with 1-2 week camps, to the experienced actor with 4-7 week options. We take campers in 3rd grade through 12th grade. Join us!
For more information, visit the Traveling Players website or call 703-987-1712.
