Hi Cheat Trainers!

We are looking forward to this week of Cheat Training! The river is down a bit (4.75 ft). For tonight, please plan to be on the water between 5-6 pm. Paddle up the main channel to Corner Hole (the rapid just below MD Chute). Steve-O will meet you there to do a warm up and work on attaining-specific drills.

We will have our Saturday downriver as usual this week, meeting at 9 at Sycamore.

Looking ahead, next Wednesday 3/27 we will do a forward stroke drill and will film it to do some video analysis. Same time as always, but try to make it on time so we can get some feedback to you.

Next Saturday 3/30 is our last downriver on the Potomac. We usually have a race down the Potomac from the bottom of Rocky to Sycamore and will time you. The goal is to paddle non stop, doing the best you can- reading water and working on your pacing. Next Saturday is also the memorial paddle for Nancy Kell. So that people can have the option to attend, we will do an early shuttle and run, meeting at 7 am at Sycamore. This is open to both Elite and Regular Cheat. Please let me know who would like to take this option- we will make sure to have enough staff to cover. We will also have our regular group meet at 9 am.

Other Dates to Remember:
April 28 at High Noon Seneca Showdown Race at Riley's Lock
May 3 Cheat Race (Registration not yet up)
May 11 6 pm End of Cheat Training Potluck (more info to follow)

What is next:
Creeking Clinics are held every Sunday in April!

Yough Training Registration now posted! Train Slalom on Tuesday or Wednesday, downriver Saturdays, and two trips to the Upper Yough if you qualify! May and June

New this year Green River Training! Join Steve-O and Bobby to get ready to run the Green. Space is limited, students should be comfortable on the Upper Yough. Starts Aug 7th

See you all tonight!
