Are you 18 to 24 years of age and seeking full-time, year-round work in the District? Think you may need additional workforce training to land just the right job for you?
The Department of Employment Services, Office of Youth Programs can help!
The Pathways for Young Adults Program (PYAP) is merging work readiness instruction, life skills development, and occupational training at the Community College of the District of Columbia, with a paid on-the-job experience! Earn, learn, and GROW!
There are 4 different training classes participants can choose from with the Community College of the District of Columbia: Nursing Assistant, Hospitality, A+ Computer Hardware Technician, and the Medical Office Administrative Assistant Program.
Interested applicants:
· Must be a DC Resident (you must present identification with your name and DC address, such as your unexpired driver's license or government-issued ID)
· Must be 18 – 24 years old
· Must be willing to complete a drug test and/or background check, if applicable
· Must be a high school graduate or GED recipient
· Must have a flexible schedule/availability
On Thursday, July 5th, you are encouraged to attend the Pathways for Young Adults Program (PYAP) mandatory Information Session at the Department of Employment Services to gain more information about the program. In order to be considered as a participant, you MUST attend this information session. NO EXCEPTIONS!
Step 1: RSVP FOR THE INFORMATION SESSION!

Once the RSVP has reached its maximum number, we can no longer accommodate interested youth and you will have to RSVP for the next cohort within the next 4 – 6 weeks.
IF YOU DID NOT RSVP YOU WILL NOT BE PERMITTED TO ATTEND THE INFORMATION SESSION. ONLY THOSE WHO HAVE AN RSVP WILL BE ALLOWED TO ATTEND!

**Immediately following the Information Session, you will take the CASAS Test. All interested youth must receive a passing score on this literacy skills assessment in order to attend the certification classed with the Community College of the District of Columbia.
All sessions will be held at the Department of Employment Services, 4058 Minnesota Avenue, NE. We are conveniently located adjacent to the Minnesota Avenue Metro. Please enter through the front of the building.
