Dear Upper Yough Trainers,--We got off to a good start last week in our preparations for running the Upper Yough. At slalom every one seemed to solidify their skills, and we had a great day in the powerful waves at O-Deck and S-Turn. Please remember to practice your rolls on both sides.For this coming weekend we have two choices: Either to go to Dickerson, meet at 6:15 AM and paddle on the course from 7-9 AM, or else enter the Potomac River Race at 10:00 AM on Saturday. Perhaps if we decide on the race, we could do a practice run down the race course to Sycamore on Friday evening (in addition to the regular days of slalom).I would like for us to decide on one or the other, but I could use a vote from everyone to help make the decision.
