I am sharing this Age-Friendly Walk information because they are asking each SMD to put together volunteer teams to walk with seniors in their area.
Please reply to me if you wish to join our team in 5B01.

Dear Age-Friendly Stakeholders:
Thank you for your support of this important initiative. We are excited to report that we have received survey and service request data from the Block-by-Block Walks for many Single Member Districts (SMD) – and we are learning more and more about the assets and needs in each neighborhood every day.
There are still a number of SMDs that have not yet been walked, and we’d love your help to get them completed. In the early afternoon on September 6, 2014, hundreds of college students will help us get to the finish line. They won’t be able to do it without your help though. We need at least one volunteer who is 60+ from each neighborhood to walk with them. Attached you will find more information including details on how to sign up.
If you have questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me or to Gail Kohn, Age-Friendly DC Coordinator.
Thanks again,
Jenna
