DC STATE BOARD OF EDUCATION TO REVIEW REVISED STATE AND LEA REPORT CARDS;

DISCUSS FEEDBACK ON GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS


Washington, DC – The District of Columbia State Board of Education (State Board) will hold a working session to review issues coming before the State Board. The following issues will be covered at this meeting:

 

  • ESEA Waiver Amendments and Report Cards Update (OSSE Presentation): The State Board will review the current categories and format of the State and LEA Report Cards, as provided by the Office of the State Superintendent of Education, to ensure that they are compliant with Federal guidance.
  • Graduation Requirements (SBOE Discussion): The State Board will discuss next steps towards revising high school graduation requirements.

 

A portion of the meeting may be closed for the State Board to consult with their legal counsel.

 

The working session will be held on Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at 4:30pm at 441 4th Street NW, Room 1117.


While working sessions are open to the public, individuals and representatives of organizations are not permitted to speak or participate during the working session. However, individuals and representatives of organizations may submit written testimony for consideration by the State Board. Written testimony may be submitted by email at sboe@dc.gov.
