Advocates for Elder Justice, Hilda and Charles Mason Charitable Foundation, Inc., is a non-profit organization whose tri-fold mission is to:
· inform and educate District of Columbia residents ages 60 years and older about elder neglect, abuse, and financial exploitation, including guardianship and conservatorship abuse, and steps individuals should take to prevent victimization;
· advocate for District of Columbia residents ages 60 years and older who are being neglected, abused, and/or financially exploited, including financial abuse by a guardian and/or conservator;
· advocate for a District of Columbia system of adult protective services that proactively, aggressively, and effectively protects District of Columbia residents ages 60 years and older from neglect, abuse, and financial exploitation, including guardianship and conservatorship abuse.
