Jones for DC City Council At-Large Announcement  View this email in your browser Dear Friend -- Former CEO and Author Max De Pree once stated that "The first responsibility of a leader is to define reality.  The last is to say thank you.  In between, the leader is to be a servant." Unfortunately, our reality is a city that continues to move ahead in spite of our elected leadership, not because of it.  Even with one of the hottest real estate markets in the country, more jobs than we have residents and more than $1 Billion in the bank, far too many of our residents feel left out.  There is an affordable housing crisis and we have failed to train our residents for the jobs that are available.  I'm running for City Council, because now, more than ever, what we need on our City Council is a servant leader who will work to bring our city together in our time of need. A leader who has worked with businesses to help train residents for the jobs that are available and get them employed.  A leader who will work to help turn our public school system into one that works for the residents of all 8 wards. While we as a city have made great strides, there is still more work to be done. With your help we can make sure that all of our residents are benefiting from the progress that our city continues to make.
