The Age-Friendly DC Task Force, knowledgeable leaders, residents and other stakeholders have been hard at work drafting goals and objectives to help make sure the city wins the Age-Friendly City designation from the World Health Organization.
Now it's the community's turn. Age-Friendly DC is holding five public comment meetings to get feedback on the draft goals and objectives. Your feedback will help transform DC into a better place to live, work and play and to grow up and grow old.
The public is encouraged to comment on the draft goals and objectives at five meetings:
- Tuesday, August 26, 1:00 - 3:00 pm, John A. Wilson Building, 1350 Pennsylvania Avenue NW, Room G-9
- Thursday, August 28, 6:00 - 8:00 pm, Cleveland Park Library, 3310 Connecticut Avenue NW, First Floor
- Wednesday, September 3, 1:00 - 3:00 pm, Lamond-Riggs Neighborhood Library, 5401 South Dakota Avenue NE, Room 1
- Tuesday, September 9, 6:00 - 8:00 pm, Savoy Elementary School, 2400 Shannon Place SE, Gymnasium
- Saturday, September 13, 10:00 am - 12:00 pm, 1100 4th Street SW, Room E200
