There must be a time constraint on receiving a certain price for their catch.  Schedules for air freight to Asia or East Coast or even just land freight South.

In Prince Edward Island, tuna are flown to Japan the morning after they are landed.  Amazing to imagine the price differential between fresh and frozen is worth your life!
