Nearly everyone was impacted by the tragic events of 911. As we approach the 15th year anniversary of this horrific act of terror, I hope all of you will take a moment to reflect and honor the memory of those we lost, and thank those that keep us safe today from another terror attack.
Also, as we approach the end of summer 2016, I wanted to share some events that you may find interesting. Take special notice of the Trump Protest taking place on Monday, September 12th, when the Trump Hotel opens in DC (see attached Media Advisory). We have confirmed elected officials, activist, and community leaders who will once again say NO TO TRUMP in front of the Trump Hotel.
Lastly, I want to praise newly elected National Association of Hispanic Journalists (NAHJ) President Brandon Benavides for his leadership in ensuring that the growing Latino presence in this country is represented in the Presidential debate moderation. Listen to his message on finding a solution to the continued absence of a Latino moderator in the Presidential debates: https://www.facebook.com/groups/NAHJMembers/permalink/1125500824196810/.
I hope you continue to enjoy the rest of summer 2016, and I look forward to seeing some of you at events below.
Thank you.
