This is it! Your opportunity to meet the newest member of the DC Council - At-Large Democratic Councilmember Robert White - Robert White won the Democratic Primary in June and was appointed to the DC Council by the DC Democratic State Committee on September 15, 2016 following the resignation of Councilmember Vincent Orange. He will serve out the remainder of the 2016 Council term and will be on the ballot as the Democratic nominee for the November 8, 2016 General Election. This will be a great opportunity to meet with him and learn how we can work together as Democrats to ensure his victory in November.
Presidential Debate Watch Party - this will also be an exciting opportunity to come together with Democrats across the Ward and City to have fun (Party) and listen to the 1st Debate of the Presidential candidates in the General Election - Hillary Clinton (D) and Donald Trump (R). Again - we must do all we can together as Democrats to defeat the negativity and diviseness promoted by the Republican Party.
Reception/Party Celebration - Finally, we're very excited that Ward 5 Councilmember Kenyan McDuffie - our Ward 5 Democratic leader will help to facilitate this important event as we will take the time to celebrate the accomplishments of the Ward 5 Democrats since the June 2015 Election and recognize the hard work of a number of outstanding Democrats throughout the Ward who helped us promote the overall goals and mission of the Ward 5 Democrats.
You don't want to miss this exciting event! And yes - invite at least one or two of your Ward 5 Democratic neighbors and come with your partying shoes on.
