Hi Stevo and all!
I (Kim Cottrell) need to swap Wednesday training to Thursday training. I will do the same routine as we would do on Wednesday.
So, see you Thursday instead of Wednesday. 5PM I am assuming?
Kim
Oh one more thing, let's plan to go get a drink after cheat training tomorrow. Fish taco seems as good a place as any.

Hey all,Tomorrow begins the paddling season for most of us here in the D.C. area. Its a time to wipe the dust off the long boat that you haven't taken out since last Cheat Training season, make sure that dry suit is fitting tight, and cross those fingers that Rocky Island is at a primo level. Cheat Training season has been described to me as "better than the Holiday season between Thanksgiving and New Years" I hope that most of us feel that way.Our spring migration will begin tomorrow at 4 pm at Anglers Inn. There you will encounter the father of Cheat Training Tom McEwan, please make sure to check in with him so we can keep a record of who is attending. There Tom will group you up with and instructor, give you your paddling workout, and send you on your way. Now watch out because no matter how far ahead of him you start he will catch you, its like a game to him.Tomorrow will be a little shorter because we haven't sprang forward yet, so we will be turning around tomorrow about 6pm for our race down to Anglers Beach. How this works is those that are the highest will turn around and start racing down at 6 and as they pass you, you will turn around as well to race down. Please everyone try to stay out on the river till this time, it is a fun way to end the workout. This year we will be introducing Chutes Circuits. How this will work is you will paddle up the the chute that we are attaining that day, there you will paddle up the chute and race down a different chute all the back to the chute that you just attained, Confusing? Example: Attaining up center chute, race downriver through MD chute, race all the way till you get back to the eddy from where you first attained center chute. I challenge you to keep your time for this so that throughout the season you will be able to see a difference. Now, as the season goes we may say you need to do 2 circuits or more depending on how strong people are paddling.I also challenge everyone to do 20 continuous back strokes at one point during your workout, I usually do them right at the beginning, but its totally up to you. Back paddling is the best way to keep your shoulder muscles balanced. If you can't do 20 then do as many as you can and work up to 20. Feel the burn!!Saturday we will be paddling down river from Sandy Beach to Sycamore Island. We ask that you meet us at Sycamore island ready to load your boat for shuttle NO LATER THAN 9. If you would like to set your own shuttle thats fine, just be at Great Falls, by 9:30.Gear: Always dress for the swim take a look the water temp. here. Its supposed to be sunny and 61 at 4 pm tomorrow.InstructorsAshley NeePatrick MurrayWe will also have varying assistants out there including:Jen SassJim WilsonMegan O'Reilly
