[WardFive] Rock 'n Roll Marathon and Street Closures Coming on Saturday

Neighbors,

Councilmember McDuffie wanted me to make sure you saw that there will be street closures for the Rock and Roll Marathon this Saturday. The race is scheduled to begin at approximately 7:30 am; however some street closures will begin as early as 2:00 am.  All streets affected by this event are expected to be reopened at approximately 3:00 pm.

The course comes from the west along Bryant Street and then turns right down North Capitol Street all the way until it turns on to K Street NE. The bridges over North Capitol Street will still be open for car traffic, but other crossings of the course will be prohibited. The over passes are at Rhode Island Ave, T Street and New York Avenue.

Full information can be found on the website for the marathon: http://www.runrocknroll.com/dc/the-races/road-closures/

Regards,

Nolan
