Judith McNaught said this about Grit-
"There will be a few times in your life when all your instincts will tell you to do something, something that defies logic, upsets your plans, and may seem crazy to others. When that happens, you do it. Listen to your instincts and ignore everything else. Ignore logic, ignore the odds, ignore the complications and just go for it."
I am sure you have heard stories from veteran cheat trainers about the blizzard on the cheat, the ice float, and the ice bridge. Yes, these days were not easy and we all asked ourselves a few times "Why am I doing this?", but we all ran back to our cars, defrosted, and had an awesome story to tell. Tomorrow has the potential to be a story day. I am challenging you all to show up and paddle as much as you can before turning back to head to the car. If you only make it to the chutes before you realize this is not the day for you thats great! If you make it all the way to Rocky Island, that would be awesome!
Tomorrow I am going to have a big ole thang of hot chocolate in the parking lot for when we get off.
***If you do decide to come Thursday then please note we will not have instructors there to help you. The other cheat training groups go out on Thursday's and all of their trainings are overfilled. ***
Now tomorrow we are asking you to show your grit and show up to Cheat Training fully prepared to work hard and have a good time.
