Emergency Signal Shut Down at New York and Bladensburg Road, March 29
(Washington, DC) – The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will temporarily shut down traffic signals at the New York Avenue and Bladensburg Road intersection Wednesday, March 29, from 10 am to 1 pm, for emergency repairs.

The repair work is necessary to replace a critical internal component in the traffic signal's cabinet.

DDOT will dispatch traffic control officers to the location during the repair operation.

Drivers are asked to seek alternative routes. However, should motorists travel through this intersection, they are advised to use caution in the work zone, and anticipate moderate-to-heavy delays due to the signals being shut down.
