As I shared before, we can't expect anything different from the New Federal Govt Officials in place when our own officials are so willing to surplus....when we need food source and communal facilities...we get more commercial buildings. Same thing being done on National stage is being implemented by our local leaders!!
Let's look at our newest approach ... let's place someone like Ben Carson as the head of HUD and then surround him with folks who will "advise" (direct) him to how to surplus to offset the new Budget cut .. in our case let's surplus our land, create some Public/private partnerships to develop every inch of land and then put a few "affordable" housing units ... and keep talking about how much we care about our low income housing stock!! On the National level, let's cut the put a Brain Surgeon as head of Hud and cut the Budget by 6 billion and see what is the next step -- we need to surplus some land and ..... !! Amazing coincidence, I was in a discussion about Ben Carson and his appointment as Head of HUD ... betting what his role really is!! Maybe it is a strategic approach to creating some more "affordable" housing!
Keep up the fight Daniel ... without the name calling...one side has to be the Victor...and I think if our side is victorious, the entire community benefits much more than those buildings ...by the way, they can put them up on the other side of Va Hospital ... on the Clover Leaf area of Irving St...that is if they really need office space for the Hospitals!
